After A Separation
Annette was married to a successful business man, and when they divorced, she needed to take responsibility for her wealth, including doing her own estate planning. She discovered The Wealth Conservancy by reading Myra Salzer’s book, The Inheritor’s Sherpa. This book, about gaining control of finances through the lens of one’s own purpose and meaning, appealed to Annette and she engaged The Wealth Conservancy in order to assist her with the process of education around her money. After putting her wealth into perspective, Annette expanded her planning into what she cared most about – philanthropy. This dovetailed nicely with the estate planning she did, as it revolved around the legacy that she wants to leave. In addition, it gave The Wealth Conservancy an opportunity to work with Annette, as the “giver” of financial gifts, so that the gifts were meaningful to her, and given in a thoughtful way so that the gifts were meaningful to and supportive of the receiver as well.
