WSJ: “The Family That Stays Together”

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAFor those of us fortunate enough to have close family ties, gatherings with parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, and cousins are (largely) fun occasions, centered around holidays and birthdays, full of the sounds of family life: enthusiastic conversation, children playing joyfully under the dining room table, perhaps music and toasting of cocktails. For one family in England, the loving foresight of a great grandfather in the 1930’s allowed for an amazing inheritance: a special place that would serve as a place and a means of reunion for generations to come.

The Wall Street Journal recently ran an inspiring feature on the Baldwin family and their collaborative project: renovating a residence on their scenic English property, to allow for the growing family to continue to come together under one roof long into the future.
