Book Review: “BLESS”

Review by Myra Salzer.

On the first morning of the first day at the NEXUS Global Summit, I ran into my friend, author Gray Keller, who slipped this delightful booklet to me. I felt blessed to have received it! While Gray practically apologized for not writing a more substantial, encyclopedic, academic publication, I viewed it as a gift and a kind gesture. I welcomed the fact that I wouldn’t feel obligated to carry a multi-pound tome back to Boulder. Gray went on to tell me how the whole book could be read in an hour. It’s true; even I could have read it in that period of time (and for those of you who know me, you know I am not a proficient reader).

But that’s not how I’ve chosen to connect with this book. Rather than be done with it, I’ve chosen to read just a little section each night before I go to bed. It makes me feel happy. It enables me to sleep well. And I start the next morning off with a positive attitude and a lust for giving of myself.

The book is about the ways one can be blessed by – or bless – another. Gray uses real-life examples to which we can all relate. We can all make a difference, and the book is a delightful reminder of how simple it can be to do so.

BLESS is available in paperback and for Kindle at Amazon and for download through iTunes. I hope BLESS finds a home on your nightstand.
